Why we're updating our LIVE rewards
Scaled LIVE rewards enables select creators to collect up to 53%* of LIVE rewards — 40% from Per-LIVE Missions and 13% from Weekly Missions.
With our updated structure, we're ensuring that creators putting extra effort into their content are recognized, rewarded, and celebrated for their dedication to quality, consistency, and growth.
While adjusting to change may take time, this update is designed to support sustained growth and longer-term success.
How it works
With Scaled LIVE rewards, your total rewards are calculated based on your popularity, measured by the number of Diamondscollected, and your rewards percentage, which is determined through the completion of LIVE Rewards Missions, including Per-LIVE Missions and Weekly Missions.
*Subject to a $1,000 USD weekly cap for the Creator League mission.
Rewards from Per-LIVE Missions are determined by specific LIVE performance metrics, such as LIVE duration, the number of new unique followers acquired, and your adherence to TikTok's LIVE Monetization Guidelines and Community Guidelines. You can collect up to 40% in rewards, which will be updated and displayed under 'available rewards' after each LIVE.
Weekly Missions, on the other hand, gives you the opportunity to receive up to 13% in rewards*, which are added to your 'available rewards' every Monday, based on the previous week’s performance and its metrics. Metrics include the number of times you went LIVE, your content engagement, and your performance in the Creator League, which ranks creators by popularity and is updated daily based on Diamonds collected that day.
Please note the different timing of when 'available rewards' will be updated for both Per-LIVE and Weekly Missions. While the rewards percentage from both Per-LIVE and Weekly missions can total up to 53%* (40% + 13%), 'available rewards' from Per-LIVE missions will be displayed more immediately compared Weekly Missions. 'Available rewards' from Weekly Missions are only updated once a week.
We know that hosting great LIVEs requires time, effort, and dedication, which is why we've included missions like Go LIVE duration and Go LIVE days to our Scaled LIVE rewards update. These missions ensure that creators who consistently produce high-quality, engaging content are rewarded for their continued commitment to the platform.
Regional variations will be taken into account to ensure global fairness, so we may update the numeric values of the content engagement mission. We are committed to customizing mission parameters across various countries and regions to prevent disparities in earning potential.
*Most creators are now eligible to receive up to 53% in rewards weekly if they hit the highest tiers for Per-LIVE and Weekly Rewards Missions. Because the Creator League mission has a weekly cap of 1,000 USD, some creators will not be able to receive up to 53% in rewards weekly even if they hit the highest tiers.
Who's eligible?
At this time, Scaled LIVE rewards is availableto creators in the Philippines, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Armenia, Nigeria, Kenya, and the U.S. Starting June 2nd, it will also be available to creators in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.

What are Diamonds? How to get Diamonds?
Diamonds represent your popularity and ranking on the Platform. TikTok allocates Diamonds to creators collect based on the level of viewer engagement their content receives, including from Gifts and Star Comments. The more popular a creator is, and the more high-quality engagement and contributions they provide on the Platform, the more Diamonds a user can collect.
Does this change apply to all of my rewards from LIVE?
The new rewards formula applies only to LIVE videos that you host. LIVE videos where you participate but don’t host (e.g., as a guest in a multi-guest LIVE) will, for the time being, not count toward the new rewards formula. The previous rewards formula will apply instead.
What is counted as a valid go LIVE day?
You must go LIVE for at least 25 total minutes in a day for it to count as a “go LIVE day." If your LIVE spans across days, only the day you finish going LIVE will be counted. For example, if you go LIVE from 11 pm on Monday until 7 am on Wednesday, only Wednesday will be counted as a go LIVE day.
What is counted as a new unique follower?
To count as a new unique folllower, a user who wasn’t already following you must follow you in your LIVE room during the LIVE and remain following you until the LIVE ends. If the same user follows and unfollows you multiple times during your LIVE, they will only be counted once as long as they are still following you when the LIVE ends.
What does “Stay in or surpass the League you started the week in” mean?
This Weekly Mission is only available to creators in League A1, A2, and A3. To complete this mission, you must start the week in League A1, A2, or A3 and not drop to a lower League throughout the week. For example, if you’re in League A2 at the beginning of Monday, you must remain in A2 through Sunday. If you were to drop to A3 at any point during the week, you will not receive the 1% weekly rewards percentage for completing this mission.
Why is the Creator League mission capped at 1,000 USD per week?
This cap is set to ensure that we fairly reward creators for their contributions and avoid rewarding artificial attempts to game the system.
What is content engagement level?
Content engagement level represents how much your viewers like your content. It's determined by the number of active members of your Fan Club and viewer engagement during your LIVE session. You can raise your content engagement level by getting more active fans, engaging with your viewers more, and increasing your views, likes, comments, etc.
Where can I check my rewards?
You can check your estimated rewards on the “LIVE rewards” page. We will display your estimated rewards based on your Rewards Missions performance up to that point, including your Per-LIVE Rewards Missions and an estimate of your Weekly Rewards Missions. The amount displayed is updated in real-time to help you keep track of your progress. Until you receive a reward payment in your preferred account, any amount displayed belongs to TikTok.
When will I receive my rewards after going LIVE?
Your Per-LIVE Mission rewards are estimated after each of your LIVE videos end. Your Weekly Mission rewards are estimated every Monday based on your completion of Weekly Missions over the past week. You can only receive, or request to receive, weekly rewards after the week has ended on Sunday night.
Where can I view my total rewards per week?
You can view your total rewards in “Weekly statements” on the “LIVE rewards” page. The statements will show all your estimated rewards from Per-LIVE Missions and Weekly Missions each week.
What’s the time range for Weekly Missions? When will I receive my Weekly Mission rewards?
Your Weekly Missions run from Monday 00:00:00 until Sunday 23:59:59 in the local time of your account region. You can view your account region in “Settings and Privacy.” Note that the UTC-7 time zone will be used for all US users. This week’s rewards from Weekly Missions will be updated the following Monday. Every time a new week starts, your Weekly Mission progress will be reset. We’ll calculate your previous week’s rewards and update them to your account.
What is content quality adjustment?
Content or conduct that violates our Community Guidelines and/or our LIVE Monetization Guidelines can lead to a partial or full reduction of your eligible rewards, as well as a temporary suspension of your account and/or your ability to monetize on our Platform. Egregious and/or repeated violations of our Community Guidelines, LIVE Monetization Guidelines, Creator Code of Conduct, and/or Terms of Service may lead to the permanent suspension of your account or your ability to monetize on our Platform.
What types of LMG violations can lead to a content quality adjustment?
Please review our Community Guidelines and LIVE Monetization Guidelines closely to understand what kind of conduct and content violates our policies and can lead to a content quality adjustment. TikTok rewards only high-quality content on our Platform, and we will reduce or eliminate rewards for low-quality, violative content.
How do I appeal a violation or content quality adjustment?
You can submit an appeal during LIVE or later from the “Transaction details” page.
What is the time limit for appealing a content quality adjustment?
Appeals can be submitted for any LIVE videos you hosted within the past 180 days.
Will I get the deducted amount back if my appeal is successful?
If your appeal is successful, we will update your estimated rewards with the deducted amount.
I received multiple deductions for one LIVE video. Do I need to appeal each deduction separately?
No, you only need to submit one appeal per LIVE video.
Will mass reporting by viewers or other creators on TikTok result in an automatic content quality adjustment?
No. We do not use automation to reduce a creator’s rewards percentage. Human moderators will determine any reward reductions before they are applied.
Is the content quality adjustment reviewed by AI?
